Episode 1: Repentance

Dear Friends Community Church Family,

Yesterday in the sermon I preached I talked about how Christians should respond to the brokenness all around us. I looked in the Scriptures for examples of a godly response. I looked around and asked the Lord to reveal what is broken and where we need to seek his healing. This week, I want to call on Christians to unite in humbling ourselves before the Lord in prayer and fasting.

2 Chronicles 7:14-15 says, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn form their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.”

The Lord is watching. He is listening. May we be found faithful in seeking his face this week.

Today’s emphasis is on Repentance. Read Nehemiah 1, watch the above video, and set aside some time today for prayer.
