Rick has lived in the North Orange County area since he was 10 years old. He graduated from CSU Long Beach with a degree in biology and Azusa Pacific University with a Master's Degree in Divinity. He has served as a Pastor since 1990. He has a heart for the Kingdom of God and he believes, God has called his family to the ministry. Rick is married to Lani and they have three boys, Micah, Caleb, and Joshua. As a family they love God's people and the opportunity to serve them, it is then with great excitement and a humbling sense of responsibility that they shepherd Friends Community Church, Brea.
FUN FACT: When Rick was a kid, he wanted to work at a fish hatchery.

Teddy is Kenyan-American. He graduated from Daystar University, Kenya with a B.A. in Communication and Azusa Pacific University with a Masters of Divinity. Teddy is married to Emily who leads a Young Mom's Ministry. They have a son, Judah, and two daughters, Audrey and Tessa. They also have two good looking cats. Teddy and his family love the call and the opportunity to serve here at FCC and the Kingdom of God.
FUN FACT: Teddy wanted to be a radio DJ.

Darcy is married to Ben and has 4 children, Caleb, Lindley, Lincoln, and Chamberlyn. Darcy was raised in Payson, Arizona. Darcy graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a B.A. of Liberal Studies. She has a Master's degree in Education, a teaching credential and is a recorded pastor through the Friends denomination.
FUN FACT: She loves to bake and work in her garden.
Senior Adults, Young Adults, Adult Bible Classes, Business/Finance
Chris and his wife Barbara have 16 year old twin girls, Christina and Catherine. They have lived in Brea since 2002. Chris has been involved in ministry since he graduated from Faith Tech International Bible School in 1997. Chris previously served in ministry with Christian Services for the Blind, Church of the Good Shepherd, and Cornerstone UMC.
FUN FACT: When Chris was a kid he wanted to be a pro-football player.
Tyler was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from California Baptist University with a B.A. in Christian Studies and Azusa Pacific Seminary with his Masters of Divinity. Tyler is married to Tracie and they have three children: Ella, Calvin, and Wesley. Tyler and Tracie love getting together with family and friends to play board games!
FUN FACT: If Tyler had an unlimited budget he would visit all the National Parks.
Rick and his wife, Monica, have been married since 1982. They have two daughters. Amanda lives in Oklahoma and is married to Jonny. They had their first child in March, 2013. Becky is their youngest. Rick has been involved in youth ministry for many years, working for various Friends Churches including a stint at Quaker Meadow Christian Camp. Rick also works fulltime as a store manager in a local health food store in Brea. Rick graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a M.A. in Christian Education with an emphasis in youth ministry. He loves Jesus and His Church with a deep desire to serve others and to demonstrate how to live like Christ.
FUN FACT: Rick would love to hike to the top of Mt. Everest... or at least to Base Camp.
Bob and Judy are blessed with two married children, and four grandchildren. He is a graduate of The Citadel, and served as a Captain in the USAF during the Viet Nam war. He retired from a career with the Union Pacific Railroad. He is ordained, and has served as associate pastor at two Orange County churches.
FUN FACT: Bob currently serves as a Chaplain with the Orange County Fire Authority.
Young Adults & High School
Micah was born and raised right here in Orange County and loves to spend his time playing hockey and hiking. He is married to the beautiful Mia Darden. They have been serving in youth ministry together since 2012! Micah is currently working on a Masters degree at Azusa Pacific University. He loves working with the students here at FCC and has a passion to see the youth develop a strong faith of their own.
FUN FACT: Micah loves eating ice cream with Bacon.
Frieda was born and raised in Southern California and has been married to her best friend, Brian, since 1990. They have four kids, Adam, Allison, Kaitlyn and Koen. After high school, Frieda worked in aerospace manufacturing for almost 15 years. Frieda left aerospace to stay home with her children before being given the opportunity to work in ministry here at FCC.
FUN FACT: Frieda enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and date nights with her best friend.
Lani is married to Pastor Rick and in August they'll be celebrating their 25th anniversary. They have 3 awesome boys; Micah, Caleb, Joshua and a daughter in law, Mia. Lani graduated from CSULB and taught physical education full time for 3 years before getting to be a stay at home Mom. She's been highly involved at FCC having been on Retreat committees, Christmas committees and the women’s recreation leader (10 yrs). She is a Stephen Minister, WBS group leader, and now the women’s ministry leader. The job most important to her, however, is to be Rick's number one support and encourager.
FUN FACT: Lani LOVES to surf, mountain bike, hike, and just got her motorcycle license! She enjoys hanging out with friends and finding opportunities to fellowship and encourage one another in the Lord.
Tracie was born and raised in Southern California. She received her degree in Child and Adolescent Development and Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from Cal State Fullerton. Shortly after finishing school, Tracie married her husband Tyler. Tracie and Tyler have 3 adorable kids, Ella, Calvin, and Wesley
FUN FACT: In her free time, Tracie enjoys searching Pinterest and completing DIY projects.
Whitney has lived in Orange County her whole life. She is married to Ryan, and they have a son named Hudson. In 2008, Whitney graduated from California Baptist University with a BA in Liberal Studies. She also has her multiple subject and resource specialist teaching credentials. For the past 5 years she taught at Friends Christian Middle School. Whitney now loves staying home with her son and serving the families as FCC's nursery coordinator.
