Volunteers Needed

Friends Community Church is currently looking for volunteers. If you have a desire to serve and would like to learn more about the possible opportunities, please read below.

Sunday School

Our ministry purpose/goals: 

The goal of Children’s Ministry at Friends Community Church is to touch the hearts of children by helping them grow in the knowledge of Christ.

Our ultimate desire is to see them Loving God and Loving People.

Volunteer requirements:

Children's Ministry Volunteer Opportunities:

Special Needs Ministry Buddies: are matched one-on-one with children who might need extra attention and assistance during Sunday School. An ideal Special Needs Ministry Buddy is anyone with a heart for individuals with disabilities and a desire to see them included in the body of Christ.

Sunday School Teacher: those who lead the class each week. Classes are broken down into groups of 10-20 kids based on the child's grade level. Teachers are responsible for teaching the weekly Bible lesson and planning age appropriate and engaging activities for their grade level.

Sunday School Teacher's Assistant: those who have the desire to support children’s small groups on Sunday morning but may not feel comfortable leading the group on their own Teacher's assistants help small groups run smoothly by assisting the teacher in serving snacks, helping kids with crafts etc. and can serve as substitutes when needed. 

*Volunteers are still needed in all areas. Primarily we are looking for lead teachers for 2nd/3rd grade during both service times and assistant teachers during 2nd service for all grade levels

*volunteers are asked to commit to teaching for the coming school year. August 27 2017-May 2018

Care Groups are small groups that meet weekly to help build relationships, have discussions about God and the Bible, and provide an opportunity to grow in the knowledge and understanding of the Christian faith.
